1963-66 cars DO NOT have a fuse for the lighter. The result of overloading the lighter (without a fuse) is a dead short to the hot side of the harness potentially resulting in minor to major harness damage or fire. A good idea to add a separate fuse in-line or our fused adapter harness (includes a 10 amp fuse)
