This hi-performance radiator offers superior cooling over the original part, while offering a complete "direct fit" installation. This radiator features press formed end tanks. This increases the cooling capacity over the original unit. This design eliminates failures due to cracked plastic end tanks and/or gasket leaks
This unit fits into the original mounting, however, GM did not allow any room for a thicker core and therefore it is impossible to make a true “Direct Fit®”. The upper two rubber cushions must be trimmed slightly to accommodate the larger core. We include spacer plates and hardware so no shroud cutting is required.
The "Black Ice Epoxy Coating" option is a great upgrade for those who want the advantages of this aluminum radiator, but the "look" of a stock radiator. A special two part black gloss epoxy paint is applied to the radiator which is formulated for high temperatures and has NO effect on it's cooling effectiveness.
Note: Distilled water & premium coolant must be used.
